Moder Family Special Education Scholarship The Moder family started this scholarship in honor of their daughter, Whitney, and her special education teachers. Whitney is a high functioning autistic, and her special education teachers were the cornerstone in her educational development. Through this scholarship, the Moder family hopes to support a student in the special education program who demonstrates the drive and skills to assist a variety of special needs students, including those on the autism spectrum. The annual award is $1,000. Mason Priebe Hughitt and Orvetta Braker Moltzau Scholarship Hughitt and Orvetta Braker Moltzau, both 1936 graduates of UW-Stout, established this scholarship to be awarded to incoming freshmen from Eleva-Strum High School and Menomonie High School. Applicants must have a 2.0 or above GPA with a strong desire and potential for success at UW-Stout. Annual awards are $1,200 each. Tayler Kummer Shaelee Paul Charles and Carolyn Blain Mowbray Endowed Scholarship Both Carolyn and Charles Mowbray, 1951 UW-Stout graduates, believe strongly in earning a degree. Their scholarships provide substantial assistance to students to succeed in their respective undergraduate degrees. These scholarships are awarded to students from Wisconsin with financial need and a 2.5 or above GPA. The scholarship requires an interview and is renewable for up to three years. Annual awards are $8,000 each. Hazel Peterson Zoe Peterson Austyn Zinn Mueller/Orfield Endowed Applied Science Scholarship This scholarship was established to recognize the outstanding research record of Bill Mueller and Mary Orfield, retired UW-Stout chemistry professors. This scholarship is awarded to an applied science major with a 3.0 or above GPA. The annual award is $100. Jordan Kunze
