Annual and Endowed Scholarships

Todd and Amy Rogers Scholarship Todd and Amy Currier Rogers perished tragically in a mid-air collision in 2003. Through their numerous activities and interests, they lived every day to the fullest and enriched the lives of many. Amy was a 1989 graduate of UW-Stout. This scholarship was established to honor the memory of Todd and Amy and is available to junior or senior apparel design and development or today’s equivalent major and/or art majors with a 3.0 or above GPA. The annual award is $800. Jessica Maedke Homer C. Rose Endowed Scholarship Homer Rose, a 1931 UW-Stout graduate, had a lifelong career with the military and federal government until his death in 1967. His widow, Mary G. Rose, established this fund with gifts from family and friends to assist a student with financial need. The annual award is $300. Autumn Rockteschel Jane Rosenthal Endowed Scholarship Jane Rosenthal’s son, John, and friends established this scholarship in her memory. Jane was a 1940 Stout graduate. Throughout her 20 years of employment at Stout, she appreciated the institution’s educational verve and strong nurturing of professional development. She steadfastly challenged her students to become active in leadership roles. This scholarship is awarded to a junior or senior family and consumer sciences education major who is involved in a professional student organization. The annual award is $300. Kylie Amundson Mary Kay and John Joseph Rossmeier Endowed Scholarship Mary Kay Rossmeier was a dedicated junior high school teacher for 34 years. She received a bachelor’s degree in 1967 and a master’s degree in 1973 from UW-Stout. John Joseph Rossmeier worked his way through UW-Stout at various Menomonie businesses. He was an industrial arts teacher, dairy farmer, owning the Hilbert, Wis. homestead, and a draftsman at an electrical engineering firm. He received a bachelor’s degree from UW-Stout in 1969. This scholarship is awarded to a student who has financial need and a 3.0 or above GPA. The annual awards are $2,400 each. Matthew Dahlseide Abigail Filipiak
