2022 Scholarship Awards

Wisconsin Institute of Packaging Professionals (IOPP) Chapter Annual Scholarship This packaging scholarship for UW-Stout is IOPP’s way of supporting and promoting students entering the packaging industry. IOPP feels it is important to promote higher education in this field. Companies across Wisconsin also realize the need and provide funds to the Wisconsin IOPP Chapter to a make a scholarship available. The scholarship is awarded to two sophomores from Wisconsin, majoring in packaging. The annual awards are $500 each Veronica Diercks Joseph Gierl Wisconsin License Plate Scholarship This scholarship is funded by those individuals who have purchased a UW-Stout license plate. A portion of the license plate fee is allocated to the university and provides these scholarship funds for Wisconsin residents with financial need. The annual awards are $500 each. Eve Folstad Annmarie Morrison Lois Wood Endowed Scholarship Sam Wood, former assistant chancellor for Student Services, established this scholarship in honor of his wife for her many contributions to the life and activities of UW-Stout students. This scholarship is awarded to a family and consumer sciences education major. The annual award is $600. Hannah Timm Samuel E. Wood Student Senate Endowed Scholarship Sam Wood, former assistant chancellor for Student Services, served for many years as the adviser for the Stout Student Association. In recognition of his many years of service, Scott Cabot, a former SSA president, and his mother, Frances Cabot, created this scholarship to recognize Dean Wood and to assist an officer, director, or senator member of SSA to more readily afford a UW-Stout education.
