2022 Scholarship Awards

Sarah Jean Kozar Annual Scholarship This scholarship was made possible through a request of Sarah’s parents, Jerry and Judy Kozar. Sarah was a multi-talented young woman in the music and arts fields with a passion for foods and entertaining. This scholarship is awarded to a student of junior or higher status pursuing a degree in nutrition, food technology, and hotel management. The annual award is $1,000. Makayla Styer Luella Kramer Endowed Scholarship Luella Kramer, a 1923 Stout graduate, left a portion of her estate to UW-Stout for scholarships to students of need and promise. The scholarship is unrestricted, and the annual award is $600. Kennedy Hanifl C. Robert and Helen Krause Endowed Scholarship Bob Krause,1939, believed UW-Stout provided an outstanding education, not only for him, but for his daughter too. His time at Stout was a pivotal time for him. He wanted to make the same education available to students in the future through scholarships. This scholarship was established by Bob and his wife, Helen, for a student from La Crosse, Wis. with financial need. The annual amount is $400. Kennedy Hanifl George Kress Foundation Packaging Scholarship Green Bay Packaging’s George Kress Foundation has established this scholarship to support UW-Stout and its efforts to further packaging-related programs and the development of future packaging professionals. The scholarship is awarded to one junior and one senior packaging major. Recipients must be Minnesota or Wisconsin residents with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Annual awards are $1,000 each.
