2022 Scholarship Awards
Landsverk Family Endowed Scholarship Donald and Donna Landsverk, 1952 graduates of UW-Stout, established an endowed scholarship to support the most qualified student pursuing a certification or concentration in cyber security. Internationally and nationally, cyber security is a serious issue that must be dealt with on an ongoing basis. It is their hope that UW-Stout cyber security graduates will play a critical role in preventing unwanted intrusions into the lives of American citizens. The annual award is $1,800. Alec Pennings graduation and in appreciation for the exceptional educational experience she had as a graphic design major. Tragically, Christina was killed in March 2021. Her family and friends have continued the scholarship in Christina’s memory. This scholarship honors her passion for life, and the friends, professors and colleagues that inspired her to follow her dreams. This award is to help offset the added expenses that art majors encounter for supplies. The annual award is $1,000. Julia Quella Herbert B. and Clara M. Koolmo Larsen Education Scholarship This scholarship was created with gifts received in celebration of the Larsen’s 65th wedding anniversary in 1993. The scholarship is awarded to an education major in industrial technology or human development. The annual award is $200. Josephine Finocchiaro Christina Larsen Memorial Art Scholarship This scholarship was established by Christina’s family to honor her 2012 Arland M. and Eleanor M. Larson Endowed Manufacturing Engineering Scholarship Arland Larson worked for McDonough Manufacturing in Eau Claire during his lifetime and enjoyed designing and building machinery for the plant. In Arland’s memory, his wife, Eleanor, established this scholarship for talented students majoring in manufacturing engineering who enjoy the challenge of designing and creating.
