2022 Scholarship Awards

Norflex Plastics Engineering Scholarship Norflex, Inc. is a custom film manufacturer that specializes in high-quality stretch, shrink, custom additives, and converter-grade films used for industrial packaging and agricultural applications. Established in 1992, owner and industry pioneer, Arne Anderson and the Norflex team worked together to engineer high-quality polyethylene films. With continuous improvements in film manufacturing technology, the Norflex team delivers high-performing films with lead times that are consistently the shortest in the industry. This scholarship supports plastic engineering students with a minimum GPA of 3.0 who are Wisconsin or Minnesota residents. The annual award is $1,500. Cody Urban Mary Wilhelm Odell and William A. Odell Memorial Scholarship Mary and William Odell, 1939, left a portion of their estate to UW-Stout to provide scholarships. Education was very important to both the Odells. Prior to retirement, William supervised the industrial education programs for 17 schools in the Baltimore area. Mary taught elementary grades and special reading classes until her retirement. These scholarships are awarded to undergraduates with an education major and financial need. The annual awards vary. Morgan Emmons Kristi Luchterhand Danielle Juris Kiaya Schroeder Erik Jon Odness Endowed Scholarship Erik Odness was a senior majoring in industrial technology when he was tragically killed while home on summer vacation in 1989. This scholarship, established in his memory by the Phi Omega Beta Fraternity, family, and friends, is awarded to a senior majoring in engineering technology with a 3.0 GPA and financial need. The annual award is $600. Bryce Ginter Olive’s Branch Scholarship Mary E. Van Hout, a 1974 UW-Stout graduate, established this scholarship in honor of her grandmother, a lifelong learner, teacher, and loving, compassionate woman who was a role model for many. This scholarship is for a full-time incoming first year student from Wisconsin with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and financial need. The annual award is $1,500. Tad Weiss
