2022 Scholarship Awards

Sten Pierce Memorial Endowed Scholarship Stennett B. Pierce taught physical education and served as head football, wrestling and golf coach during his 34-year career at UW-Stout. Sten’s vision was instrumental in the development of the university’s golf enterprise management program. The scholarship is awarded to a freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior from Wisconsin or Minnesota enrolled in the golf enterprise management program. The annual award is $500. Emily Humphrey Arnold and Donna Piersall Technology Education Endowed Scholarship Arnold Piersall was a member of the UW-Stout faculty from 1960 to 1988, and Donna worked for the Stout Foundation until her retirement. The Piersalls provided a scholarship for a technology education major. The annual award is $800. Tyler Green Charlie and Gail Pinkepank Technology Education Endowed Scholarship College or a technical education can offer a person many opportunities. Charlie and Gail both have bachelor of science degrees. They have taught school, built log cabins, owned, and operated a fly fish camp in Alaska, and built Nordic tugs. Charlie attended Stout with the help of the GI Bill and Gail through college loans. It is rewarding for them to be able to help students achieve their educational goals. The annual award is $1,100. Richard Fonk parts for the medical, electronic, and consumer markets. Prent’s corporate headquarters is in Janesville, Wis. with additional manufacturing locations in Flagstaff Ariz., Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Denmark, Malaysia, China, and Rosarito, Mexico. Prent is an award-winning leader in the thermoforming industry. Prent has established this scholarship to assist talented sophomore and junior packaging students with a minimum 3.0 GPA. The annual awards are $5,000 each.
