2022 Scholarship Awards

Travis N.T. Olson and Lucille M. Olson Scholarship Through a bequest from Travis N.T. Olson and Lucile M. Anderson Olson, this fund provides scholarship support to UW-Stout students. Lucile graduated from UW-Stout in 1957 with a degree in family and consumer sciences education. She married Travis N. T. Olson in 1959. Travis graduated with a Ph. D. in pharmaceutical technology and industrial engineering in 1960. Lucile taught school in Wisconsin and Michigan until her retirement in 1990. They were involved in gardening, church work, and traveled extensively around the world. These scholarships are for family and consumer sciences education majors who are residents of Michigan, Minnesota, or Wisconsin. The annual awards are $2,200 each. Peyton Bork Alexis Setzer Emma Krejci Hannah Timm This scholarship was established by a retired casino executive and 1977 graduate from the hotel, restaurant, and tourism management program. The University of Wisconsin Stout experience formed a solid foundation and opened many doors allowing for full development and career growth. The donor wants to support students interested in the hotel, restaurant, and tourism management program. The scholarship is renewable for additional years based on established criteria and by following the scholarship process. Preference will be given to those seeking a casino career with strong people and communication skills. The annual award is $2,500 each for two students per year.
